With the Holidays upon us, this is often a time of reflection for the things that we are thankful for in life. Whether it's our family, good friends, a great job, or that special someone, chances are that you are grateful to have that special feline friend in your life, too. Here are 10 reasons why you should be thankful for your cat:
10. They Make You Happy When You Need a Smile
Even on the worst days, it's nice to have a cat around to cheer us up when we are feeling blue. Simply stroking their fur as they lay on our lap can help to bring us back to our happy place.
9. Your Cat Would Never Judge You
It doesn't matter who you are to anyone else, your cat loves you unconditionally—just the way you are!
8. Cats are Endless Entertainment
For anyone that has a cat, you know how their crazy antics can keep you entertained. There is never a dull moment if you have a cat in your life!
7. They Don't Make Us Take Them Out For Walks
Walking in the blistering heat or in the freezing cold does not sound fun. Thankfully, cats don't make us do that for them.
6. Cats are Nice and Tidy
For the most part, a cat is not going to wreak havoc, slobber all over you, chew up your shoes, or destroy things in your home. Except for those house plants or toilet paper rolls, that's just way too tempting.
5. Just Looking at Them Can Make You Happy
This is true for thinking of them as well. You find yourself smiling when you think of your cat who you love oh-so-much!
4. They Don't Bark
Dealing with a barking (or very yappy) dog is not fun, but with a cat in your home, you can relax in peace with your feline friend without all the noise.
3. Your Cat is So Smart it Makes You Proud
I don't know about you, but I am continually amazed with how smart my rescue cat is. He never ceases to amaze me with the things that he can do! (Proud Mom moment!)
2. They Know When You are Sick
Cats have a sixth sense of when you need them, and in those moments, they cling to you to show their support... which means more than they will ever know.
1. You Will Always Be #1 in Your Cat's Eyes
When you earn the love of a cat, they will let you know with a lifetime of love and loyalty. Cats value the bonds they develop with their humans, and we have an inkling that you feel the same way. And knowing you're someone's most important person, well that can make you feel thankful anytime!
